FundsFireInsight started as a response to a problem most people run into sooner or later: financial advice online is either too vague to act on or written by someone trying to sell you a product. We wanted to publish something in between, content that treats you as capable of making your own decisions, as long as you have the right information in front of you.
We cover three things: personal finance, small business, and investing. Not because these topics are trendy, but because they’re the three areas where a lack of clear information costs people the most — in missed savings, in businesses that run out of cash for avoidable reasons, and in investment decisions made without understanding the basics first.
What We Actually Do
Most of our articles start the same way: with a question we’ve either been asked directly or seen come up repeatedly in forums, comment sections, and search results. From there, we look at what’s publicly available — government guidance, industry data, official documentation — and try to put together something that actually answers the question, instead of padding it out with filler.
We’re not going to tell you exactly what to do with your paycheck or your business’s cash flow. That depends on details about your life we don’t have. What we can do is lay out the options clearly enough that you can make that call yourself, or know what to ask a professional when you sit down with one.
A Note on What This Site Isn’t
This isn’t a financial advisory service, and nobody writing here is a licensed advisor speaking to your specific situation. Treat what you read as a starting point for your own research, not a final answer. Our full [Disclaimer](/disclaimer) covers this in more detail, and it’s worth reading before you act on anything finance-related you find here or anywhere else online.
Why It’s Run This Way
We don’t take money to feature a product favorably, and we’re not owned by a bank, brokerage, or lender with an interest in which way you lean. If we say a tool or strategy is worth your time, that’s because we think it is — not because someone paid for the placement.
